MP Dr. Al Waleed, the head of the parliamentary human rights committee hosted two U.S. Attorneys assigned to defense Kuwaiti detainees at Guantanamo. "Al Qabas" reports that MP Dr. Walid Al Tabtabani, among other issues discussed with the U.S. military attorneys, expressed the need to encourage the governments of Kuwait and the U.S. to speed up the process of releasing Kuwaiti detainees from Guantanamo. The Kuwaiti detainees' attorneys have shown sufficient proof of non-involvement in terrorist activity against the U.S. Their detention has no legal basis and they are being held without trial and without evidence.

"Al Aan" reports that the head of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee requested the release of Kuwaiti detainees, Fayez al-Kandari and Fawzi al-Odah, who have been held at Guantanamo since 2001. After meeting with Lt. Col. Barry Wingard and Lt. Cmdr.
